Partagas Chicos
A reference in cigars. This mini panatella, 106 mm long and 11.6 mm in diameter, is easily recognizable for its character and strength.
Like the “Big Cubans”, only tobaccos produced in Cuba are used. Very demanding when time is short, this cigar only needs fifteen minutes to satisfy you.
The oldest cigar factory in Cuba, Partagas was founded in 1845 by Don Jimmy Partagas Ravelo, when he left Spain for Havana. Owner of several tobacco plantations in Vuelta Abajo, a land known as the “grand cru” of tobacco in the world, Don Jimmy had at his disposal the best raw materials to produce excellent cigars. Success soon came and many nobles of all nationalities were among his loyal customers, to the point that the factory was almost renamed the “Manufacture Royale”.
Inspired by the avant-garde of its founder, Partagas was the first factory to experiment with different fermentation techniques and was also the first to use the services of a “singer”, which made the work of the torcedors less monotonous and, above all, to the culture and training of its employees.
After the death of Don Jimmy Partagas Ravelo, the factory underwent several changes of ownership until it came into the possession of the Cifuentes family in 1940.
Immortal Cuban Heritage:
Named after the illustrious Don Jimmy Partagas Ravelo, Partagas Chicos perpetuates the excellence of one of Havana’s oldest tobacco factories. Founded in 1845, the brand established itself thanks to its exceptional quality, cultivated in the fertile soil of Vuelta Abajo, the center of premium tobacco in the world.
Structure and Appearance:
Measuring approximately 106 mm in length and 11.6 mm in diameter, Partagas Chicos pays homage to the traditional mini-panatela format. It has a delicate wrapper, a uniform color and a silky texture. Each piece is a distillation of Cuban know-how that offers a concise but rich taste.
Aromatic Complexity:
This cigar develops a range of woody and captivating notes, the signature of Partagas, which shows a balance between strength and flavor. On the palate, the strength is relatively strong and Partagas places the Chicos at level four on the strength scale, acceptable to both experienced smokers and those seeking an evolution of flavor.
Production and Tradition:
Each Chicos is the culmination of pioneering fermentation techniques that come from the continuous innovation that has characterized the Partagas factory since its inception. Ancestral knowledge and careful selection of tobacco leaves guarantee the consistency of the cigars in flavor profile and combustion quality.
A choice for your precious moments:
Designed for times when time is of the essence, this Partagas Cuban cigar takes about fifteen minutes to taste and offers a premium harmony of pleasure and relaxation. A box of 25 or in a 10×5 cartridge gives it considerable reach for daily tasting or special occasions.
The transition from Don Jimmy’s house to the Cifuentes family and eventually to the Cuban state after 1961 only strengthened Partagas’ reputation. Today, this cigar giant still rivals the likes of Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta and continues to captivate cigar lovers with nearly a quarter of the island’s production.
