Punch is one of the oldest sub-brands produced by the Habanos company, which was founded in the 19th century by:

with the aim of taking a share of the European market, especially England, and it also adapted its name from the name of a humorous magazine that was published at that time.

Today, the brand’s cigarette boxes still feature the image of Mr. Punch, the famous clown from the same satirical magazine, smoking Habanos, alongside images of 19th-century cigarette factories, which can still be seen in cigarette factories today.

In 1931, the Punch cigarette factory was moved to a new factory where the

Hoyo De Monterrey

cigarettes are produced, known as the

La Corona

factory.

The distinctive and unique flavor, moderate bitterness, are the hallmarks of Punch products, which are produced using tobacco from the

Vuelta Abajo

region in various sizes and shapes, all rolled by hand and with an inner layer made of whole leaves.

The renowned and long-standing Habanos company was founded in the 19th century, and today Punch, one of the brand’s subsidiaries, has introduced its latest product line in a new size throughout its history, with a 50-gauge ring, to the consumer market in 2019.

The cigar in question was usually produced and marketed in packs of 50 until the production of these packs of 50 was stopped in 2003.
