other members of the Línea Retro – are Mareva-sized cigars (5 ⅛ inches long and 42-gauge ring) that come in a stylish metal can. The cans are a subtle touch and a charming 70s aesthetic that remind us of the golden age of cigar smoking, but they also serve a very practical purpose. These cigars smoke for about 35 to 40 minutes. The cans will protect them (and any similar cigars you might want to replace them with later) for much longer.

Texture:
The wrapper was a bit coarse, which gives it a rustic feel, but the quality of the rolling and filling is excellent.

Flavor:
This cigar is absolutely perfect from start to finish. A pleasure to behold.

Burn:
Like the Kamadhi, the burn is impeccable. It never deviates from a straight path and burns smoothly when placed in an ashtray.

Ash:
A little grey and a little flaky, but overall very good.

Smoke:
A little thin at times, but soon warms up and fills the air with aromatic clouds.

Taste:
Rich and full from the start, as you would expect from a Partagas. The full body and power are impressive, especially considering the smaller size of the vitola. Pair it with some strong black coffee on an afternoon and the two go beautifully together.

When the

cans were first released, they were seen by some as a bit of a gimmick. However, they are highly sought after by collectors and are a favorite among cigar lovers because they contain some great cigars and look great. A little bit of fantasy and nostalgia is sometimes nice and these cans provide just that.

are more than just their packaging and have a lot of flavors to enjoy. The first third is immediately full-bodied and rich. Thick smoke with a luxurious mouthfeel and delicious alternating notes of leather and oak. The flavors are rich and strong from the start. As the burn progresses into the middle third, both the leather and wood intensify before being joined by a spicy peppery aftertaste on the tip of the palate. The final third is even richer than the first third, lingering notes of coffee and spice join the peppery kick, making your time warm and enjoyable. A great choice for a mid-day burst of energy.
